Hi there! It's me, Makenna - the owner and operator of Dandi Tales Box! 👋🌿
Dandi is short for "dandelion", one of nature's most underrated flowers. "You mean that ugly, little weed?" Well yes. But dandelions are pretty amazing. Not only can they be used for food and medicinal purposes, those white puffballs contain hundreds of seedlings. And when they're ready, those tiny seeds can ride the wind for miles to ensure that life will spread and grow anew. At Dandi Tales, we want to be the wind behind your child's curiosity - breathing life into the beautiful imagination and creativity already instilled in them by God. Let US do all the work, so you don't have to. We'll walk your child through a classic novel or delightful picture book while exploring questions about the world, diving into activities and crafts, and laughing (and maybe sometimes crying) together along the way.

I'm a homeschooling mama of four kiddos. And one of our favorite parts of the day has been reading chapter books aloud. We've traveled to the Arctic with Mr. Popper, stared in amazement at "Some Pig!" woven into a spiderweb, and climbed the steps of Cair Paravel with the Pevensies. We've learned about friendship and sacrifice, bravery and perseverance, wonder and delight in even the smallest of God's creatures.

For the past couple Christmases, my parents have graciously signed their grandkids up for various subscription boxes. And as I've watched my kiddos excitedly open their package every month, it gave me the idea for Dandi Tales. Why not blend my love of literature with the ease and excitement of a subscription box?!

My plan is to carefully craft each box around a classic children's novel or picture book. One book, mixed with some crafts, coloring pages, stickers and activities is sure to thrill both your book lover AND your not-so-much book lover. 😉
